In 2009, he joined the Executive Leadership Team as Deputy Principal (Teaching & Learning). From 2013, Pete spent three years as Head of School at Sekolah Pelita Harapan, an international baccalaureate school in Sentul City, Indonesia.

Pete returned to Chairo during 2016 andtook up the position of Principal at the Pakenham campus in 2017'. He remains passionate about seeing students transformed through Christian education and impacting the world through their capability, character and commitment.

Roger Simons, Business Manager

Roger attends Berwick Church of Christ and is married to Leonie. They live in Berwick and have three adult daughters. Roger has a Bachelor of Business and is a FCPA (Fellow Certified Practising Accountant).

Prior to commencing at Chairo, Roger was Business Manager at Bayside Christian College in Langwarrin. When asked why he enjoys working at Chairo, Roger said: ‘I love the opportunity to be part of the Chairo community and to serve with my gifts to help provide excellence in Christ-centred education.’

Roger’s deep hope in working at Chairo is that students and staff members continue to grow in their Christian walk and, as included in our vision statement, ‘to see Christ’s redemptive impact in the world through the capability, character and commitment of our students and staff members’.

Judy Linossier, Principal (Drouin)

Judy is a member of Rope Factory Church in Warragul and is married to Andre. They live in Drouin and have six adult children (two girls and four boys), plus one grandson. She has a Bachelor of Education and has also completed study through NICE (National Institute for Christian Education).

Judy serves on the Christian Teachers Journal Editorial Committee and has been a PeaceWise trainer, teaching personal peacemaking skills to staff members and students at various Christian schools.

Prior to joining Chairo in 2016, Judy worked as Head of Junior and Middle School at Maranatha Christian School at Officer. Her deep hope in working at Chairo is that God is honoured as we seek to serve him in Christian education. Judy enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Christine Hibma, Principal (Leongatha)

Christine attends the Christian Reformed Church of South Gippsland and is married to Tim. They live in Leongatha and have three children. She has a Bachelor of Science and Diploma of Education and is currently undertaking a Master of Education (Leadership) with NICE.

Christine worked on their dairy farm and in the family herd development business before teaching at Chairo. However, she has been very involved at the campus over the years as a student, parent, volunteer and teacher's aide before teaching and then taking on leadership roles.

Christine's deep hope is that students will be critical thinkers who can discern between God's good gifts in the world, where these have been twisted or damaged, and how we can work toward restoration. In short, that they would be positive culture-shapers.

Louisa Doherty, Principal (Pakenham)

Louisa is a member of Drouin Presbyterian Church and is married to Craig. They live in Bunyip and have two adult children. She has a Bachelor of Education (Melbourne) and Master of Education (Leadership) from the National Institute of Christian Education.

Louisa joined Chairo Pakenham in 2019 and has served as Head of Middle School and Head of Senior School. Her deep hope is that students will learn who Jesus is and what he has done for them, and that they will know where they fit into God’s big plans for the world.

Keryn de Bruyn, Principal (Traralgon)

Keryn attends Eternity Church in Morwell. She is married to Eric and they have two adult children, and she has a Diploma of Teaching and Bachelor of Special Education.

Keryn joined Chairo in 2018 but prior to that she was a founding Flinders Christian Community College staff member at the campus. She worked in a range of positions, including Learning Support Coordinator, Head of Teaching & Learning (Junior School) and Head of Primary before becoming Principal.

Keryn is passionate about exploring and unwrapping the potential of each student and helping them develop a lifelong love for learning. Her deep hope is that families will encounter the love and hope of Jesus Christ at Chairo, and that this transformational love will bring them into a close relationship with their Heavenly Father.
