The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted communities, including the Chairo school community, in unprecedented ways, with so much of what we all took for granted each day being temporarily removed from our lives.

Chairo is committed to continuing to deliver an excellent, Christ-centred education for all students while also prioritising the health and wellbeing of students, families and staff members.

We are thankful that God is in control, and that he loves and cares for each member of the school community. In fact, we are thankful for many things, as expressed in this short video:



Return to Face-to-Face Learning

Chairo moved to online and remote learning for all Prep to Year 12 students from the final week of the first term of 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the easing of restrictions in Victoria, it was announced on Wednesday 13 May that students would transition back to face-to-face learning at school as follows:

Tuesday 26 May:

  • All students in Prep to Year 2 across the school
  • All students in Years 10 to 12 at Drouin & Pakenham

Tuesday 9 June:

  • All students in Years 3 to 9 across the school
  • All students in Year 10 at Leongatha
