Christian education is an active partnership between families and school. At Chairo, we take this partnership seriously. We seek parents who are expecting to be involved and engaged with the education of their children.
All parents are members of the Warragul and District Parent Controlled Christian School Association Incorporated, which operates Chairo Christian School. Joining the school association provides parents with the opportunity to be involved with maintaining the direction and vision of the school into the future.
The majority of parents are associate members, which means they receive all documentation relating to the operation of the association and are able to attend general meetings, but they do not have a vote at meetings. However, parents are also able to apply to become full members of the association. Full members are able to vote at general meetings, nominate other full members for election onto the Board, and be nominated themselves for election onto the Board.
The Statement of Rules explains more about membership and how the school association operates.
